A Lifetime of Service.
A Legacy of Justice.

Tarrant County deserves a judge with experience, discipline, and unshakable values. Kelly Puls is ready to serve.

Kelly Puls is a native of Fort Worth. After graduating from Arlington Heights High School, he attended TCU, where he lettered in football. He earned his Juris Doctorate from California Western School of Law and returned home to Fort Worth to begin his dream of practicing law.

Public service is nothing new to Kelly. He currently serves as a Captain in the Texas State Guard and as the Judge Advocate (“JA”) for the First Brigade (“1BDG”). He was deployed to the Texas–Mexico border in 2021 and 2022, where he served as Chief of Military Justice for the Joint Task Force (“JTF”) / Operation Lone Star (“OLS”), consisting of the United States Army National Guard, United States Air Force National Guard, Texas Army National Guard, Texas Air National Guard, and Texas State Guard.

Kelly is a proven conservative. He is a staunch advocate for the Constitution and the rule of law. He believes that all sides of a case should be treated with dignity and respect. He believes that judges should not legislate from the bench but will ensure that fairness and justice prevail in the courtroom.

Twice board-certified, Kelly has the experience Tarrant County needs in a judge. His extensive legal experience spans over three decades. He has tried hundreds of cases before juries. He knows the law, courtroom procedure, and will be ready to take the bench on day one.
